a sister is not only a blood relationship but as defined in the second college edition of the new world dictionary a close friend a female fellow member of the same race creed profession organization a woman of the same kind model a true sister shares a common bond with her fellow sisters and strives to achieve the same goal like making more than 58 cents on the dollar and making sure the anita hill's of the world get the justice they deserve what has happened to our sisters in 1954 rosa parks fought a battle for an entire race of people but as a black woman she had a separate battle to fight it was once upon a time when one sister could call upon another sister for strength hope and guidance it was once upon a time when one sister could call upon another for advice love and support and it was once upon a time when one sister could call upon another sister to cry on lean on and rely on but what has happened to that sister she is not at a&t or any other place where i have looked recently she seems to have disappeared and left those who pretend to know what a real sister is about obviously we seem to need a quick review aggie rride is something that we all talk about and to some degree live with while we are on the yard few people if any will take the time to hear a long speech when they are about to hire you for a job you should maintain an updated list of courses and grades this information will make pre-registration easier for you and your advisor in your senior year you will be required to complete a statment of standing in order to graduate this statment is in effect a complete list of all courses taken during the first three years at the university grades received and must be completed in order for the university to grant you permission to graduate if you have kept a proper outiine the statement will represent a mere formaility knowing whether or not you are on target is as much the student's responsibility as is is the advisors and the university i would hate to see any of the people i've met here at a&t get to the end of their four years and find out that they must take addition classes because they did not uphold their part of the educational bargain finally fellow aggies remember that the world into which you will enter once you leave the yard will neither hold your hand nor keep your records for you nor accept lame excuses for any shortcomings you might have instead the interviewer or whoever will go on to the next candidate it is important for students to be aware of what is necessary for graduation which includes staying abreast of your department curriculum and consulting with your advisor graduation must be the primary goal of every student here at a&t pre-registration for spring semester classes begins november 11 before any student signs up for another class the following questions must be answered are you succeding in your academic progress are you on target to your expected graduation date if you are not
