june 13 in minneapolis the grants were given as part of control data's effort to help minority colleges provide education for students who need financial assistance if you look at the current gramoling howard state university,southern university tennessee state university and tuskegee university university institute cam us ha the council of presidents will meet 5:30 p.m august 23 in the are selected at each college by a faculty scholarship committee on the basis of their scholastic record leadership character ambition in agriculture and eligibility for financial assistance the ralston purina scholarship amounts to 750 . it is awarded each year to an outstanding junior or senior in the state universities and land-grant col leges in each of the 50 states and in three canadian agricultural colleges and in puerto rico semester blanchie michelle stevens a senior food science major from smithfield has been selected to receive the ralston purina scholarship award for the 83 fall page 6 the a&t register friday july 1,1983 girls/roaches occupy dorm black mayors media focus whenever i am in my room i see roaches every few mintues i usually wake up at 7 a.m to prepare for the days work from mornings when i am get ting ready to leave for work i estimate that i kill atleast 5-8 roaches before i leave company does come to spray it seems they only use a dab because the roaches still come out from hiding but when the exterminating the list he said the quality control exterminating company if i am correct has the contract for a&t they can only spray the rooms that are signed on the dormitory held a residential meeting a few weeks ago and that was one problem discussed i asked questions about the roach pro blem to dr judge kornegay director of housing the reason why i say stay in the roach motel is that i occupy a room along with my roommate on the fifth floor of zoe barbee hall bet ter known to some as high rise i seem to feel that i do not live in a dormitory namely zoe barbee hall for the first session of summer school i feel i live in the roach motel at a&t but have you ever heard of the roach motel this summer it is here on campus places to stay as far as hotel/motel accommodations these are some of the nicer howard johnson holiday inn ramada inn the quest quarters and the hilton inn the downtowner motor inn travel lodge motel days inn and econ lodge motel editor of the register the counselors place a list at the front desk of the dor mitory for residents to sign if they want their room spayed exterminated i have done that i have been at a&t for three years i am a rising senior at this institution and i have resided in vanstory hall for the past three years where i have never seen that many roaches amounting to those i've seen in high rise if high rise is not infested with roaches i think my room is along with other rooms frankly i feel every inch of zoe barbee hall needs to be exterminated if quality control cannot fill the bill i
